6. Relationship with Shopify

Our store and many aspects of the Services are hosted and powered by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services in order to provide and improve those Services.

Information you submit through our store may be transmitted to and stored by Shopify, as well as third parties that may be located in countries other than where you reside, in order to provide and improve the Services.

We may also use certain Shopify-enhanced features that incorporate data from your interactions with our store, along with data from other merchants and Shopify itself. In some of these cases, Shopify is responsible for the processing of your personal information, including responding to certain privacy rights requests related to those features.

We are based in Canada, but we may process and store your personal information in other countries, including the United States and other jurisdictions where our service providers (such as Shopify) are located.

If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), the United Kingdom (UK), or another region with laws governing data collection and use, please note that your personal information may be transferred to countries that may not provide the same level of data protection as your home jurisdiction.

Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, such as:

  • The European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses,
  • Equivalent contracts issued by the relevant authorities in the UK, or
  • Transfers to countries that have been recognized as providing an adequate level of protection.

8. Security and Retention of Your Information

We use reasonable physical, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect personal information against loss, theft, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee "perfect security."

We retain your personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to:

  • Fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy,
  • Provide the Services to you,
  • Comply with our legal and regulatory obligations,
  • Resolve disputes, and
  • Enforce our agreements.

The specific retention period may vary based on the type of information and the context in which it is collected.

We may send you promotional emails about Lumaglow® products, offers, or content. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the "Unsubscribe" link in those messages.

Even if you opt out of marketing communications, we may still send you non-promotional communications related to your account or orders (e.g., order confirmations, shipping updates, or important service notices).

11. Third-Party Websites and Links

The Services may contain links to websites, apps, or online properties operated by third parties. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, content, or security of such third-party sites.

We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party sites or services you visit.
