A Personal Welcome From Nicholas

Hello, everyone who may be reading, my name is Nicholas Vendittelli, a Co-Founder of Lumaglow® and son of Dr. Plaskos. I would like to openly say that this is my first ever written blog, and I’ll be keeping it very informal, writing as if I’m in a personable conversation. This will be my intention in order to stay authentic with you all.

I want to say thank you to all of the current Lumaglow clients who have been a part of this brand since day one, when my mother created it many years ago. As well as thank you to all new clients who will become part of something different, something that is more than just another product. A community of glowing individuals who strive to live with love, presence, and intention. Their true self. This is my dream for the future of Lumaglow. And at the core is our amazing community, always.

My journey to “taking the reins” of this brand has an interesting beginning. I grew up in St. Catharines, Ontario, born to two amazing parents. From the very beginning, I always wanted to follow in my father’s footsteps of becoming a dentist. At the core of that desire was simply wanting to help people, a passion of mine from as early as I can remember. I went to school in my hometown, and even studied at a university in that town as well.

Now, around university was when my journey took a different direction. After two years of studying in the Medical Sciences program at Brock University, I had a thought: “Do I really want to do this?” More specifically, what I was asking myself was whether I truly saw myself in healthcare, either as a dentist or a doctor, or whether there were other ways I could help people, perhaps in a more long-term manner.

After deep contemplation, I realized medical science was not for me and that I should continue my studies in business. I knew I enjoyed business on some level, but felt there could be more opportunity there. After completing my BBA degree, I began working in wealth management, striving to help families gain clarity in their financial needs, something I felt very good about, especially since I was forming long-term client relationships where I could make a positive impact for years to come. However, after a few years, again I felt unsure.

This is where a lot of change took place in my life. I stepped away from wealth management and started a company with two partners, providing individuals with tools to master their emotional regulation and step into their greatness. From here, I ended up helping my mother with her brand, Lumaglow, as well giving insight into operational needs, marketing, and website creation.

Now, fast forward to today, I have been blessed with the opportunity to take over my mother’s company and shape its future clearly, with passion, purpose, and love.

This company was created by my mother in 2012, where she sold her product in her clinic exclusively for years. Currently, in 2025, I have developed the first-ever website, helped bring Lumaglow to other clinics, and am embarking on a journey to help people all over with their health and purpose.

My vision for Lumaglow is to combine awareness and intention with the use of the product to create the ultimate experience, while sharing my passion for mindfulness, intention, and discussions across many diverse topics. This brand will be a unique place for people to glow. To become intentional. And to be guided to their highest self.
